Presented at Fondazione Nicola Del Roscio, the ambitious project will add over twenty thousand new trees in Gaeta, Cy Twombly’s beloved city.

Gaeta, December 2, 2023 – “A tree for every inhabitant: Gaeta, the greenest city in the Mediterranean” is the title of the ambitious project launched by Fondazione Nicola Del Roscio, in collaboration with the Cy Twombly Foundation, which will be presented in Rome, on Tuesday December the 5th, at 11.30 am, at Fondazione Nicola Del Roscio, in via Francesco Crispi 18.

The goal is adding over twenty thousand new trees in urban setting, starting in 2026 and for a period of ten years, to improve the proportions between inhabitants and green areas, while raising awareness among people to respect nature and the environment and making a contribution towards the environmental sustainability, urban regeneration, production of more oxygen and improvement of well-being and quality of life.

Fondazione Nicola Del Roscio will take care of choosing the most suitable trees to plant amongst those of the Mediterranean climate species.
